Ginger whole and sliced

The other day, a patient who had to go on a new medication complained about suffering from nausea. Consequently, she had lost her appetite. It was late Friday afternoon and her physician’s office was closed. So I recommended she tries one of two simple remedies to help her nausea:

1)    Wearing sea-bands. They are worn around the wrist and provide constant pressure on something called the Nei-kuan acupressure point.

2)    Ginger tea made simply by steeping ginger roots, available at all grocery stores, and adding a bit of honey (if you have a sweet tooth).

The patient called back and said she tried both and they made her feel better. Mission accomplished.
