Every year, our Mobility Specialist in St. Thomas, Bill Marlatt and his wife Sherry, organize the ‘Smiles for Seniors at Christmas’ gift drive to support long-term care facilities in the Elgin County community.

Thanks to the generosity of many charitable people, they have distributed thousands of gifts for seniors. “The need is huge and during the pandemic it got worse because seniors haven’t been able to have visitors and normal social activities.”

Gifts can be modest— anything from books and puzzles to journals to art supplies. It’s the gesture that is truly an act of kindness.

Let’s continue to pull together to help put a smile on a senior’s face in the community!
