Right now, many of us are without a gym. This can be hard as it may have been in your daily routine, and gym equipment is expensive. But, it’s important to keep putting one foot in front of the other and exercising as it has so many benefits. Exercise helps to lower the risk of esophageal cancer by 42%, liver cancer by 27%, lung cancer by 26% and endometrial cancer by 21%.
Here are some ways to keep moving without the gym:
-Hiking/Walking. There are many trails in town that are great to go through. Right now, my favourite place to walk through is Springwater Conservation!
-Dancing. Put on some of your favourite tunes and move your body. It doesn’t have to be a waltz or fox-trot…have fun with it!
-Go for a bike ride. The weather is getting warmer and there are bike trails in town that you can follow.
-Youtube tutorials. There are so many free tutorials on the internet, i.e., yoga, cardio, how to lift without weights, etc.
Remember, it doesn’t have to be difficult! Get up and get moving.
