Has week 6 come and gone already? Time is really going fast! Nothing particularly big happened this week. Although, I have been noticing my rings getting looser. One in particular should be able to come off any day now. This is exciting to me! I’ve thought about getting them cut off and resized, but I always said, “No, I’m going to lose the weight” and now I have…well almost!
My clothes are getting really baggy and people keep telling me that they can see a difference in my weight, especially in my face. This makes taking selfies a lot more appealing (I used to hate taking them before because of my double chin). The clothing being baggy is both a positive and a negative. I really like the clothes I have now! I don’t want to get rid of them, but at the same time, I am starting to get to the point where I can buy a whole new wardrobe. I can’t see any difference in the mirror though. I have noticed that I don’t have to squeeze into places as much which is astonishing. There are a few places in the house that required me to turn a certain way in order to get somewhere without bumping into something…now I don’t! Amazing right?
One thing I’ve mentioned before was my obsession with the scale. Well folks, I decided to do something about it. The obsession was getting unhealthy; I would sometimes weigh myself three times a day. I’m a little ashamed to admit that there was even a point where I would weigh myself each time after going to the bathroom. So…I asked Cody to hide the scale. He understood and did a really good job hiding it. We live in a bungalow, so it’s easy to hear where he is in the house based on his footsteps. He knew this of course (he’s had a lot of practice hiding things from our dog this way) so he walked all over the house opening and closing different doors and cupboards, so I wouldn’t know which place it would be in.
Now that six weeks have passed, I’m now 20lbs lighter! A great accomplishment, yes. However, Cody has lost a significant amount more than me (read his blog to find out just how much). This is great for him and I knew that men lost weight easier than women coming into this weight loss program. But! I can’t help but feel a little jealous. Don’t get me wrong, I’m VERY happy for him. I just wish we were at the same pace is all.
P.S.
In last week’s blog I asked if you’d like to have my recipe for the stir-fry sauce I’ve concocted. No one answered except my coach, but I’ll give it to you anyways!
Paula’s Stir Fry Sauce
(2 Servings)
½ Cup of Soy Sauce
½ Teaspoon of Ginger Paste
2 Garlic Cloves minced
Two pinches of Red Pepper Flakes (more if you like it spicy)
A Sprinkle of Stevia
1/8 Cup of Sesame Seeds (optional)
