Yurek Specialties Limited is a state-of-the-art processing facility in London, ON, which features the latest equipment to support the processing, production, and delivery of medical supplies and infusion equipment, along with related supplies, to the Elgin, Norfolk, Oxford, London-Middlesex, Huron, Perth, Grey, Bruce and Grand River counties.

We are currently looking for an organized and people-oriented full-time Inventory Supervisor to join our Yurek Specialties team in London, Ontario.

Job Summary:

The Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory, stockroom and distribution activities at the facility for materials, equipment, and services by performing the following duties. They will also be responsible for the order fulfillment area.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that inventory levels are maintained, and accurate cycle counts are completed.

  • Organize, supervise, and direct the work of inventory and order fulfillment personnel engaged in

    receiving/managing materials and picking/packing medical supplies orders.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to all direct reports, ensuring that work activities are carried out in a

    safe manner; includes coaching, discipline and corrective actions as required.

  • Accountable for the management of an efficient, clean and safe warehouse and order fulfillment operations

    manpower planning and set up schedules

  • Enforce understanding and compliance with all Company policies and procedures; safety rules and government

    regulations

  • Involved in and makes recommendations in the hiring and termination processes

  • Manage hours, vacation, training and overtime.

  • Performs/coordinates procurement function for all inventory management activities regarding ordering,

    receiving, storing, inventory, cycle counting, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and

    parts, for the entire facility

  • Work closely to support and enhance partnership with other departments and divisions of Yurek

  • Liaison with customer contacts and suppliers.

  • Work with Logistics supervisor to ensure workflow from Warehouse to delivery

  • Assist in implementing Lean principles and maintenance of them

  • Develop and optimize department operating budget and insure cost control.

  • Responsible for health & safety practices within area of responsibility.

  • Ensures that the inventory details in the AccPac and Medical Supplies Software programs are accurate and

    updated as necessary.

  • Keeps quality records on suppliers.

Keeps logs of backorders for management review
Adjust inventory levels in computer system as required and produces a report for
Sources new products as required.
Orders products using applicable procedures.
Receives all incoming orders using correct receiving procedures.
Prepares returns to suppliers, and maintains records.
Advises appropriate stakeholders of potential inventory shortages.
Initiates, addresses, and completes all quality control functions and quality improvements tasks assigned to

them.

Education, Skills and Job Requirements:

  • Completion of High School Diploma

  • Preferred completion of post-secondary education, ideally in Inventory or Supply Chain Management or related

    field

  • Leadership experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field

  • Experience using MRP programs

  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills

  • Strong communication skills, including conflict resolution, and people management skills
