Three Micronutrients We All Need - By Mahdi Khanafer

Micronutrients are vitamins and minerals that our body needs. Vitamins are necessary for energy production, immune function, blood clotting and other functions. Minerals play an important role in growth, bone health, fluid balance and several other processes.

There are three micronutrients that we should make sure we consume daily.

Vitamin C

Our body cannot produce it on its own; we consume it by eating fruits, vegetables or supplements. Vitamin C strengthens the body’s immune system and wards off small infections and colds.

Vitamin D

Our body does produce it with sunlight and stores it for further use. Vitamin D is vital for healthy bones and muscles.

Magnesium

Our body stores it and is stored in the bones and cells but magnesium needs to be replenished by eating fruits and vegetables. It keeps blood pressure normal, bones strong, and the heart rhythm steady.
