Returning to school can be an exciting time but for many children, it can cause anxiety. Leaving parents can be hard for younger children while older kids may be worrying about academic achievement and their social circles.
When the world seems upside down, it’s easy to lose sight of the issues in our own backyard. Before Covid-19, we were faced with the Opioid Crisis, and while our attention was diverted, the opioid crisis didn’t disappear.
The other day, a patient complained about “all of a sudden having to pee frequently and a little burning sensation.” It was Saturday morning and her physician’s office was closed. So I asked her the following questions:
